NeurIPS 2026

By Fabrice Popineau December 6, 2026

Drive vs. Decay: On the Training Dynamics of Joint-Embedding Predictive Architectures, by José Lucas De Melo Costa, Seong Woo Ahn, Fabrice Popineau, Arpad Rimmel and Bich-Liên Doan, has been accepted at NeurIPS 2026 (Main Track). The paper explains how competing driving and decay effects shape the early training of JEPAs and introduces ResidualPred, a predictor designed to reduce representation collapse.

NeurIPS 2026 will take place on 6–12 December 2026 in Sydney, with satellite events in Atlanta and Paris on 9–13 December.
